No Time to Read? No Problem!

No time to read my short story, Yes, Yes, Yes, We Remember?

No problem!

Now you can listen to it!

Third Flatiron has released a podcast of my short story with Keely Rew as the narrator. She does an amazing job bringing the Tatra Mountains and the people of Holubica to life and I couldn’t be more pleased. You can listen here.

Short Story Writing Workshop at the Forest Grove Library

I’m so pleased to be teaching a short story workshop at the Forest Grove Library on September 21st.

What does it take to write a short story? And what do you do with it when you’re done? We’ll talk about both of those questions, as well as read three short stories and use them for inspiration. There will be writing exercises, so bring your writing implement of choice and join me for a fun workshop!

This workshop is free but please register to hold your spot!

Yes, Yes, Yes, We Remember

I’m excited to announce that my short story, Yes, Yes, Yes, We Remember was published by Third Flatiron Press on April 15th! You can get your copy on Amazon.

This story is close to my heart because it’s set in the fictional town of Holubica in the Vyoske Tatries, the same world as Stone Dove, which was published online by Crossed Genres. I love this world and I’m so happy that a second story from the High Tatras is out in the world.

Reading Painted Ponies

I had the privilege to read my story, The Painted Ponies of Wiley Creek, during a book signing that several of the Strongly Worded Women had at Broadway Books in Portland on February 12, 2019.

It’s weird watching myself … I think I did pretty well, though. But next time I bring a step stool!
